The blogging concept to me has always felt like a public diary. Never having a consistent one myself, I never really found a great interest in starting one.
Now being forced to I will take the opportunity to talk about things that I am passionate about.
Lacking a nickname that sticks is a thought floating around in my head right now.
I have never had a nickname.
Danger Bear is a name that my older brothers drunk friend called me on a night out in New York City. I'm not sure why, but I kinda liked it.
Danger and bear are not two words that go together unless its a kids show, like "Welcome to the Adventures of Danger Bear!!!!" He would be a bear that lives on the edge and fights crime... or not.
I also like to think I am a little dangerous and spontaneous though I know I am predictable in my attempts at danger.
So maybe, Danger Bear is actually the perfect nickname for me.
Bears are predictable but are dangerous to people... too much of a connection stretch?

Jajaja...I think Danger Bear is a good nickname. Don't know how you remember where you got it from but it's a good anecdote, wonder what you need to be doing for someone to call you danger bear?? :p But I know what you mean. I've never had a nickname myself except for Javi, which is default for Javiera. The good thing, is that in the states no one has ever heard the name before..or the nickname for that matter. So I guess I do have a "nickname" after all.
Bears are also cute! Let's just stick to that! I like that nickname and I think that it's always good to go with what other people make up for you. I always wanted to have a nickname too, but I guess there is not too much you can do with the name Nadine. When I was little I called myself Dine, but only because I couldn't say the full name.
Then in elementary school I always wanted a nickname and nobody could ever think of one for me. So I came up with the weirdest things that nobody ever liked.
So, my cousin came up with a new nickname for me which resulted from putting my name into the Guitar Hero High Score list. Since I was just too lazy to spell out N A D I N E, I stopped after the I, which resulted in Nadi. So, my cousin took that name and formed it into Nadia. Completely new name I know, but I like it. Well, pretty much no one still calls me Nadia except for my cousin and sometimes my fiance, but still it's the first step of getting a nickname which I never had! So, I would say: go with Danger Bear!
It grabs your attention and I guess in a world of excess (internet-wise) it makes your blog stand out from the others. As far as nicknames, I am surely glad I have outgrown my nickname of Ozzy. They say because of my big-hair days (come on, it was the early 90s), and my dark eyeliner, I looked like a female version of Ozzy Osbourne. I certainly think we have outgrown our looks since then!
